2018 deepens energy cooperation between Finland and Myanmar

On July 30, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the fields of energy signed between Finland and Myanmar: The Ambassador of Finland Ms. Riikka Laatu and the Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing signed the MoU on energy cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of the Government of Finland and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the 30th July 2018 in Nay Pyi Taw. The objective of the MOU is to encourage and enhance bilateral cooperation on clean, flexible, sustainable and renewable energy and energy efficiency on the basis of mutual benefit and reciprocity. The MoU will allow Finnish companies to enter the emerging energy market in Myanmar more efficiently.
